Le emissioni discografiche su etichetta Disconet, pubblicate sul mercato USA a cavallo tra gli anni '70 e '80, erano destinate solo a disc jockey ed a sottoscrittori di specifico abbonamento.
Il brano Atomic, in versione Extened Edit, è uscito nella nona pubblicazione del quinto anno (Volume 5, Program 9).
La pubblicazione si componeva di 2 dischi in vinile (un disco principale con lato A e lato B ed un 'disco bonus' con lato 1 e lato 2), con copertina forata in cartone (di un unico colore, che variava ad ogni uscita) a cui era allegato un inserto informativo cartaceo in bianco e nero, il Disconet DJ NEWS.
Atomic è il secondo brano della facciata A del disco principale e segue un brano dei Devo con il quale è legato da un leggero mixaggio.
